Within the current insurance payment structure, it has become increasingly difficult for physicians to spend adequate time to thoroughly evaluate, research, and treat complex multisystem medical problems, as well as perform comprehensive physical examinations or family medicine procedures. After recognizing this significant need, I made the decision to start a family medicine consulting business that would assist other physicians in these areas.

Throughout my 30+ year career as a family physician, I have been consulted by many of my colleagues. I’ve fostered long-lasting relationships with patients, some of which reside in other parts of the country and travel to see me for their annual physicals while maintaining a primary physician for ongoing care. I have also performed many family medicine procedures for my patients throughout my career. Building on my expertise, it was a logical decision to start a family medicine consulting business that specializes in these three areas:

• Complex Multisystem Medical Problems

• Comprehensive Annual Physical Examinations

• Family Medicine Procedures

I am accepting physician-referred patients and I will assist you—my colleagues—by providing diagnostic help, preparing suggested care plans, and performing specific procedures. Although patients can also self-refer, I will strongly encourage communication and coordination of care with their PCP and other physicians involved in their medical care.

My decision to utilize a flat-fee structure and not participate with insurance to avoid the medical and administrative hassle can also often save our mutual patients money. My fees are based on time and are set at or below many health insurance companies’ allowable rates.

When working with consulting physicians in the past, I have found the use of a consultation form to be extremely helpful in streamlining communication. Though it is not a requirement, utilizing this form can result in improved communication and enable me to best serve you and your patients. You are welcome to consult me on patients with specific problems and refer patients in need of a comprehensive physical exam or one of the procedures I offer.
